Home is Where The Art Is - ADEC ArtAbility TM
60 ethnic artists of all ages with origins from Syria,Poland,Vietnam,India,Gambia,Armenia,China and more, will unite at a special art exhibition to be staged at Federation Square during November 25 to December 1 ,2009.
This exhibition is called ADEC ArtAbility TM showcasing 100 vibrant paintings,sletches and tapestries created by ethnic artists with a disability,exploring the concept of "Home" and where their art is in November.
"ADEC ArtAbility TM is a free exhibition which provides children and adults who are living with cerebral palsy,depression,physical and a broad range of disabilities the opportunity to shine ; by engaging thousands of people through their artwork and creativity " ,said Licia Kokocinski , Executive Director for ADEC (Advocacy, Disability ,Ethnicity and Community).
"The paintings are joyful and wonderfully unselfconscious , "Home" has been depicted in various unpredictable ways through the images such as a red skyline view of Melbourne ; an indian tiger, a mother's womb, a peaceful fishing village and other abstract interpretations " , she said.

100 paintings on canvas ,sketches on paper and woven images from 60 ethnic Artists living with a physical or mental disability and many whom are navigating English as their second language.
